Here's my optimist view:

We aren't terrible right now, and this is without Tuve or Brantly, and Breggs is in an uncharacteristicly tough slump. Abreu is well under his career average as well.

We have potential to get WAY better with the existing roster

When a Jake Meyers double is the only thing keeping you from getting dominated all game by a 7.00+ ERA starter for the second straight night, I'd imagine you really set yourself up for it
