This guy could platoon with Brantley and could easily play over 100 games with as much rest as we give players. 122 wRC+ over the last 2 years and he only costs 8.5 M. Just think how clutch he would be if there was an injury. Diaz has been under 100 = below avg the last 3 seasons. It's not even comparable.
See you should lead off with the stats, next time. Definitely a really good insurance policy.

This looks like the Mets payroll (just payroll) will be north of $350MM. And by the way $24MM is to pay Robby Cano not to play for them. They will be well north of $500MM with taxes.

There's got to be more to this story. The day before your presser, it gets canceled and the next day you sign with another team? Were Mets runners up so when SF deal fell thru they were ready to go? How could SF and their medical team not say let's wait a couple days and figure out what we're dealing with specifically? Were Carlos and Boras having second thoughts about SF and saw a way to get to Ny?

315 is a ****load of money, but Correa just lost 35 M. Don't get me wrong, it was a quick pivot and he avoided a terrible potential scenario. Boras did his job.

You know Carlos had to be livid with San Fran. If someone else is willing to still pay you 315 M, the medicals can't be that bad.
