New Orleans would be fun.
Quite possibly the most non baseball town of all major cities in America
See you should lead off with the stats, next time. Definitely a really good insurance policy.Farmer1906 said:redline248 said:
We could have had Aledmys back for cheaper than that, too. Diaz, presumably is going to become an everyday player...this guy is basically gonna cost more to be a bench guy?
This guy could platoon with Brantley and could easily play over 100 games with as much rest as we give players. 122 wRC+ over the last 2 years and he only costs 8.5 M. Just think how clutch he would be if there was an injury. Diaz has been under 100 = below avg the last 3 seasons. It's not even comparable.

Can someone explain why we don't want Tuck hitting 2nd and Brantley hitting 6th followed by Pena?

Correa’s camp and the Giants had a difference of opinion on the medical, and agent Scott Boras worked out a deal with Steve Cohen. “We needed one more thing. And this was it,” Cohen said.

This looks like the Mets payroll (just payroll) will be north of $350MM. And by the way $24MM is to pay Robby Cano not to play for them. They will be well north of $500MM with taxes.
And $1.2 MM to Bobby BonillaMathguy64 said:

The New York Mets current payroll is estimated to be around $384 million. The luxury-tax payments alone will exceed $111 million. Their total payroll projects to be $495 million.

The previous max payroll in baseball: less than $350 million. Mets are at almost half a billion.
