Not long at all. But I'm just saying they piled onto us a lot during those years. I'm enjoying this era

Astros will start 2023 seven games behind the Rangers in the head-to-head series.

Currently the series sits at 123 to 130.

That's so mind blowing considering the recent history and sustained success the Astros have had.

The Rangers had a 42 game lead on the Astros after the 2016 season. It takes awhile to climb out of such a deep hole.

I mean he's not wrong, but I find it pretty odd how many members of the Houston media have made jokes about last year's and this year's signings by Texas. Houston is poking fun at one of the worst MLB franchises in history . . . OK, so we're horribly run and have horrible players. What's new? Why not ignore everything that goes on in DFW until we break our streak of losing seasons and focus on the moves that the other true MLB contenders are making? You're the world champs, why so insecure as to pick on the dumbest kid in class?

It would be like the members of the Alabama media focusing their attention on coaching gaffes and recruiting misses at Vanderbilt.

We make fun of every team that signs a big name and then makes aspirational plans to bring us down. Or we make fun of the corresponding media hype around that signing. The Rangers aren't unique in that regard. Yesterday/today was dedicated to a different AL little brother (the Yankees) after they signed Rodon. Yankees, Rangers, whoever, makes no difference to us.
