Very consistent? Isn't that absolutely what you want from your top pitcher? What better statistic for defining the CY is there besides quality starts? Wins depend so much on how well the team behind you is hitting, while pitchers not throwing quality starts are not going to have as much chance at wins. Crane doesn't want to be the guy that let JV go like Nolan, especially with some big milestones that might be achieved and the WS window still open.
JV is chasing stats and can only get that with a small handful of teams that have a bullpen that won't let him down, offense that will support him, and stellar defense that will back him up.
He and his wife already have tons of money. You think he doesn't see George, Carlos, and especially Cole sitting at home bathing in dollars but thinking about what they gave up and think about that.
I don't know about the actual sauce and spices .. I'm sure my buddy doest use them for their cook offs, they are professionals and don't tell people their secrets used for winning cook offs .. they may cook some briskets for the people at the cook offs though using his spices.. I'm pretty sure they do this .. just not on the stuff they turn it .. those guys have been perfecting there secrets for years

Going 6 IP with 3 or less ER means you can have a 4.50 ERA. This whole "quality start" deal is not exactly a super level stat. He was really consistent, ate innings and stayed in games. Dude was a workhorse. But in most measurable statistics he's not in the top guys.

The manager of the year between the leagues could not be more different. NL went chalk all the way and AL went just the opposite.
NL Roberts, Snitker, Showalter. All had the best teams all year long.
AL Tito, Servais, Hyde. All guys who were with good but not great teams. Only one really overachieved. One you could argue cratered when it mattered most and the other didn't so much manage his way to a division but watched the other teams crap the bed.

Wife and 2 daughters cannot get enough. What makes it even more hilarious is they use a lot of same actors over and over in completely different movies. I just sip my bourbon or eggnog and laugh.

Wonder what increases the chances more... House of Dragons or Hallmark movie.

We went from the parade to Dogwood to Feelgood to Unicorn and back to Woodrow's, then biked through Downtown on the way home. Everyone united for the Stros. On a Monday. I love this city.
