If you have a playoff game rained out in your home stadium you should have to forfeit the game. Stop being so poor and put a roof on your stadium.bluefire579 said:I said this same thing back when the delay happened against the Yankees. I'm also of the firm stance than any new stadium not built on the California coast needs to have a retractable roof. No one should be forced to play baseball in early April weather in places like Minneapolis, Boston, Denver, etc., and that need only grows when it gets to be late October or early November with how volatile cold fronts in those places are.Beau Holder said:
No but it is annoying as hell.
It's a drizzle. Play the game. It's the least you can do if you're not requiring new parks to have retractable roofs.
The last time JV pitched on short rest, it went horribly. That was before TJ.tjack16 said:
That means JV can also get a 3rd start. And they both had about the same quality of outing in game 1

The next update by MLB remains at 5 p.m.
Well that could change a few things...seems like they are planting the tea leaves

I spoke to a player who said the window wasn't broken when they got on the bus, but it was broken when they arrived.

Did someone throw something at it? Bumpy ride? 🤷♂️ https://t.co/cSso3dZumZ
I can’t find what the updated schedule was in 2008 after that rainout.

But in 2006, MLB bumped the travel day, as they typically do in all other rounds. For competitive reasons. pic.twitter.com/iXSvAPdKJj

That's my hope!Ag_07 said:
Travel day is a moot point when we win GMs 3, 4, and 5 in Philly and wrap this thing up.
Only thing our guys will travel here for is a GD parade.
Hope LMJ's spin is locked in tonight!EastCoastAgNc said:

Can't see what the schedule was in 2008 after the postponement in a quick search. However, in the 1962 WS G5 was pushed a day cause of weather. G6 was scheduled for the next day after G5, but weather pushed that game too for several days. In 1962 it looks like they intended to forego the travel day, but weather ended up delaying G6 too.bearkatag15 said:I can’t find what the updated schedule was in 2008 after that rainout.

Seems keeping the travel day is not the norm in the WS
TV rules all unfortunately.Farmer1906 said:
Should have just started the game earlier. It's not hard to read a weather report in the days leading up. 24 hours ahead tell the team and fans, the game will start at 5:03 instead of 7:03. Make the necessary changes. That would be annoying, yes, but it would also prevent a much more annoying move of delaying 3 to 5 other days.

They're using their lefties against a right-handed pitcher. The thing is, Lance has reverse splits this year. The only pitch getting hit hard this year is the sinker. He almost only throws it vs righties (with few exceptions see Schwarber in his last start vs PHI). Get ready for curveballs for days.EastCoastAgNc said:

All I do is Nguyen said:
Hensley is the DH!!!!
If he walks, he's matched the production of the DH spot for the entire playoffs.MAROON said:
he might go 0-4 but he sure seems to have good at bats most of the time. I'll take it over Mancini and his three swings and sulk back to the bench approach.
Tarp is going down at Citizens Bank Park. Official update expected shortly.
