Thinking about how Philly is going to get thru the next 3 games with their pitching is interesting.
In a best case (for Philly) you get 4 innings from Thor, 7 from Suarez, and 7 from Nola. That means 9 innings from the bullpen in 3 days. That's probably doable for them. But I think they're much more likely to need ~13. That is where we have to take advantage. We can't let their weakness slide for much longer. I don't care what strings their manager pulls. We've already seen their 7 best BP arms plus their game 4 starter. We have to take advantage starting tomorrow.
I was thinking about this too. If tomorrow Altuve wants to try to jump a 1st pitch elevated fastball that's in the zone and it doesn't result in a hit, I'm ok with it. For the record, I think if this happens, Altuve hits it out.
However, after that, the goal has to be to make Thor live in the zone, get the pitch count up, and get him out by the 3rd after you've scored 3 runs.
I think if Thor has a lot of traffic in the 1st, but still puts up a zero, and then has a lot of traffic in the 2nd Thompson will be in a really tough spot.
