I think Wheeler has run out of gas. We got to him today and the below wasn't great.

Velo usually jumps in the postseason, but he was only about his season average. In Sept he was averaging 96.5 & 95.8 on the 2 fastballs.

Like his last start his velo started to tick down. Not dramatically, but enough.

Saw this graphic tonight. Not ideal for Philly in a potential game 6.

Good. I read somewhere this is the longest season of his career, over 223 innings and still going.

We've lived this before with our arms. That is why the 6 man rotation was so key this season.

Thinking about how Philly is going to get thru the next 3 games with their pitching is interesting.

In a best case (for Philly) you get 4 innings from Thor, 7 from Suarez, and 7 from Nola. That means 9 innings from the bullpen in 3 days. That's probably doable for them. But I think they're much more likely to need ~13. That is where we have to take advantage. We can't let their weakness slide for much longer. I don't care what strings their manager pulls. We've already seen their 7 best BP arms plus their game 4 starter. We have to take advantage starting tomorrow.

I was thinking about this too. If tomorrow Altuve wants to try to jump a 1st pitch elevated fastball that's in the zone and it doesn't result in a hit, I'm ok with it. For the record, I think if this happens, Altuve hits it out.

However, after that, the goal has to be to make Thor live in the zone, get the pitch count up, and get him out by the 3rd after you've scored 3 runs.

I think if Thor has a lot of traffic in the 1st, but still puts up a zero, and then has a lot of traffic in the 2nd Thompson will be in a really tough spot.

We have to get production for our bottom half to hurt their pen. The DH is huge for us, I wish we would have carried myers over dubon since Diaz and mancini are duds and he won't play Hensley

Diaz has good stats against Thor this season

A homer and a few hits in 6 PA

Only World Series we have ever had a 2-1 lead was 2017 and we know how that turned out.

Time to do it again

Good post and agree. If we can get into their bullpen quickly tonight and tomorrow, series advantage significantly tilts toward us.

If I'm the Astros I tell every pitcher to start rubbing the ball excessively between every pitch to mess with their heads.

That's funny. Now he's not only using spider tack but he's also somehow hiding goo gone and wiping it off before the ump gets to it.

They have already lost in their minds.

McCullers is just the dude we need to start off the 3 game set in Philly with. Love the dude's fire, passion, and leadership on the mound. I can't wait. Let's GO !!!

I am already sick and tired of hearing, from the media, how cacophonous their stadium is going to be. Literally everyone in the media, it's all they can talk about. Talking about how Philly fans lose their **** over a foul ball or a called strike. I get they haven't hosted a WS game since 2009 or whatever, but come on.

I hope we go in there and just like the Yankees, shut them up real quick.

Hey guys we should be worried. The Philly fans are going to let us have it for the cheating scandal. What will the Astros ever do?? They've never had to deal with something like this before!!
