Last year I think it was because of production/shipping issues with covid but that shouldn't be an excuse anymore.

Jersey patches are always one of my favorite WS traditions

For anyone needing some baseball related entertainment to fill the off days before the series starts, I'll throw out my recommendation for Brockmire.

Hank Azaria is Jim Brockmire, famous baseball announcer that suffers of very public meltdown on air and his road back from the depths a decade later.

Azaria is hilarious, and Bob Costas and Joe Buck have cameos that make them almost likeable in real life....

Just know that the series kinda morphs away from a baseball comedy as it goes and the last season is totally insane. I still enjoyed it though

Save and except our resident writers (Dan, et al), most of these people aren't smart or creative enough to come up with a different angle. For them, it's "repeat, repeat, repeat". So all they've got is "cheater".

These people need to grow up and get over it. By their constant refrain of "cheater", it fires up the Astros' players to prove them wrong.

Don't get me started on the commissioner and his constant stroke on any and everything yankees, dodgers, and red sox.

Absolutely. It does go in some really strange and dark places over the seasons, while still being hilarious. Not necessarily a "baseball" show, but has enough to scratch that baseball itch.

Streaming on Hulu, BTW.

Starting this I thought it was gonna be really tough when they took the zone away.

Then the pitches came and I thought it was pretty easy and blatant. Only one gave me trouble and I still got it right.

Many many moons ago I spent two years umpiring LL while my son played. When I was behind the plate I literally visualized a box at the plate and called what hit the box. It was easier live than in this online deal.

Yeah. Some of those were beyond obvious, yet they were missed. Has there been an analysis of how often these "missed calls" benefit the home team?
