He seemed to just completely lose his confidence after he didn't get that called third strike. Was ready to strut off the mound and wasn't at all prepared for his next batter IMHO

I wonder how much of the noise is due to the time of the games? ALCS night games with cooler weather outside with more time to drink Red Bull and vodka has to help.

Yeah by far the most emotion I recall seeing from Framber off the top of my head. Normally an ice cold assassin but he was heated.

I suspect there are lots of cameras and high powered lenses and more important digital biomechanics analysis going on in real time looking for tells. It's on every pitcher and it doesn't take much to make a difference. A couple of inches of height on a glove. A couple of fingers of width.

4. We're such a complete team. It seems like everyone has contributed. Tuve isn't hitting but he's playing great D. Pena is rock solid on D and getting on base for Yordan. Yordan is the MVP of the DS even if he doesn't get another hit. Breggy doing it. Tuck overshadowed but doing it too. Yuli had a huge game 1 and scoops everything. Hensley, Vazquez, and the list goes on and on.

5. Lance Mcullers has some history in close out games. I think he adds to it.

I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.

So I knew Castillo was good because of the numbers but I had never really seen him pitch until the postseason.

He's pretty ridiculous. I don't think we're going like him being in the division.

Mr. Shiner - I'm interested in putting runners on in front of him and hitting behind him. He is going to be walked a lot more this post season. He went out and tagged that pitch today outside of the zone.

Took their ace's best shot. Got to Astro bullpen earlier, and still didn't matter.

Astros won season series and like 6 of last 7 v Mariners. Also won division over them by 10+ games. Certainly a lot of noise from Seattle relative to actual performance.

speaking of Carlos...

it's amazing what the players -- on teams that miss the postseason -- miss out on. This is when the spotlight national or otherwise shines the brightest on MLB. But guys sitting at home are forgotten.

we'll see if Carlos can find a contender in the offseason
