Siri & Chas both has higher K%. At least Jake showed the ability not to K so much in AAA. I would expect him to improve.MaxPower said:
I agree Peña is most likely your SS opening day. I'm fine with that if they can upgrade offensively at either catcher or in the OF. Tucker didn't look bad in CF so perhaps they can get a power bat RF? Meyers scares me striking out 35% of the time. That's Joey Gallo territory without the light pole power.
But would you turn down Kris Bryant if you could make the numbers work?Farmer1906 said:Siri & Chas both has higher K%. At least Jake showed the ability not to K so much in AAA. I would expect him to improve.MaxPower said:

Agree 100% with this. Appreciate the job Dusty did but It's time to move on with the new version of the Astros.Ag_07 said:
I don't like the idea of Dusty being back because I'm ready to for the club to take the next step in their evolution.
Dusty is a stop gap. Always was.
Let's move forward and hire our next manager who is gonna be here for the long run. We don't need a stop gap anymore.
Dusty did his job and did it well but let's move forward.

The logical side of me agrees with this.
The emotional part believes that Dusty deserves another shot at a ring with us. Ever since he stepped into this role in 2020, he's had our players' backs, which was extremely admirable given the circumstances.
I believe the Astros will be fine either way, but I'd do anything for him to win a WS in Houston.
How does deferred money work towards the luxury tax? I know the contract if it is back loaded doesn't change the impact because the tax uses the average...but we have never covered deferred money that I can rememberThinice said:
We deferred some Grienke $$$, him leaving won't give us as much to spend as we think:
