OK, let's pass some time til Friday night.

1) Favorite Astro (current)

2) Favorite Astro (all-time if different from a current fave)

3) Best Astros' game you've ever been to in person (regular season)

4) Best Astros' game you've ever been to in person (playoffs, if applicable)

1 & 2: Altuve

3: Opening week of 2017, my first year with season tickets. Wednesday night game against Seattle. Extra innings on a work night. Bases full of Mariners. Brad Peacock enters. "Screw this, I'm going home!" Peacock walks in the go-ahead run. I really almost leave. Peacock strikes out the side. In the bottom half, a 2-run Springer Dinger to the very corner of the Crawford Boxes wins the game.

I think this is the game that gave us the Astros dance.

4: Same year, ALCS game 2. Verlander pitched an 8-inning, 1-run gem. I tell my sister, "that's probably the best pitching performance you will ever see in person. Then he comes back out and pitches the 9th. Altuve and Correa combine to walk it off against Chapman (and Sanchez).

There is hope.

I can see us getting past Boston without him.

Damn. Any game Valdez pitches is a must win now and he needs to go 7 innings. Some of those bullpen games are gonna get ugly. What ****ty news about LMJ. Stros may still be able to pull this one out but there's not way they beat SF or LA without a healthy LMJ. Prob still have a shot against ATL if they pull it out.

Anything can happen in a 7 game series. Just worry about winning this one….. then worry about the next one if we get there.

Same game I listed. Still get goosebumps thinking of the roar of the crowd when he came out for 9.

Would be a great time for Verlander to say, "You know what, I can't stand being on the sidelines. I'll risk the twilight of my career to pitch in a World Series if they make it." Instead of our top two pitchers both being injured.

I should also point out I was at 2019 ALCS game 2. I'll take the 17 game over the 19 cause of the JV performance.

I'll be at the 2021 ALCS game 2…

I really hate the twitter reporting era. Earlier he got MRI results back and long-term wasn't a concern. We also heard forearm strain. But now they say they don't even have the results.

1. Kyle Tucker
2. Kevin Bass
3. Mike Scott took a no hitter 8.2 innings before giving up a hit. I was too little to remember it.
Found a link to the last inning of the game. I'll have to ask my dad where we were sitting to see if we were on any of the several crowd scans they did: Atlanta Braves vs Houston Astros (6-12-1988) "Mike Scott And His No-No Is A No-Go" - YouTube
4. G5 2017 WS

OMG I'm 95% sure I found my dad and I from that YouTube video I posted from the almost Scott no hitter in '88. Showed it do dad and he agrees.

It was '86 right?
The clinching no-hitter was in '86. He almost threw a second one in 1988 vs. the Braves. Future Astro legend Ken Oberkfell broke it up with 2 out in the ninth. I was also at that game, but definitely not in the field boxes like Mr. Fancy Pants here

Even if it's true, fortunately the Astros have 24 other guys with more heart and post-season success than Chris Paul's sidekick back then.

Could he start on there and then be replaced after game 3 or 4 if he has a "flair up" of the issue?

Yankees fired their hitting and assistant hitting coaches, plus their idiot 3B coach. Joey Gallo dont need no hitting coach. You cant coach what he does.

If he is replaced on the ALCS roster, he is ineligible for the WS roster. If he is left off the ALCS roster, he is eligible for the WS roster.

Great question. Anyone know the rules for this?

Is that surprising to anyone?

I don't keep up with the Cards but he won 17 straight and got them in the WC game.

Thought his players liked playing for him.

1. Altuve

2. Biggio (but only for nostalgia… it's really Altuve)

3. When I was in tee ball, my Dad took me to a game and we were up "stretching our legs"… and right then, Kevin Bass hit a homerun to left that hit the fencing right below the mezzanine. I looked at my Pops asked who that was. He said, "that was Kevin Bass." I said, "I'M Kevin Bass." To which he said, "No you're not, Kevin Bass can switch hit." So I went home and started taking lefty cuts off the tee as soon as I got home.

The guys not named Brian Kenny on the MLB Network show currently airing are not impressed with this idea.

Edit: In case it wasn't clear Knebel is doing to opener thing for Urias... according to the guys on TV.

No need to panic on LMJ. He wasn't gonna pitch till game 3 and as long as we are up 2-0 or even 1-1 we can scrap something together for game 3. He also would've pitched game 7 but I predict Astros in 5 or 6.

It would be awesome if he could pitch game 1 of WS once we get there, but let's get thru Boston first.

I like Arbys.

Nickelback's songs all sound alike. The one song is fine, they just aren't a good band.

Applebees has always been terrible, even before I ever ate in a nice restaurant.
Applebees was awful before that horrendous commercial and country song came out. Nickelback is like a dog whistle for humans, extremely painful. Arby's gave me the worst hot lead gut I've ever had in my life, -10 / 10, do not want again.

Arby's is disgusting but I don't judge others' brain addictions to foods only designed yo kill you faster and control population or allowed by FDA to get you sick, create jobs and sale more pharmaceuticals, creating more tax dollars spent.

All seems really silly when your taste buds are they to make sure we didn't eat anything poisonous not to get us addicted and sick.

I seriously don't ever remember Bass hitting a home run to left. He sucked ass from right side of the plate unless you're saying he went opposite field in the Dome lol

If Kapler changes his lineup, he'd played right into Roberts' hand.

Giants should change nothing, and treat this as what it is: desperation from LAD.

Baggy has definitely been in the gym. He had gotten so tiny and skinny at one point it was hard to believe that was the great Jeff Bagwell. And it's always great to see the current stars respectfully acknowledge the past stars.

1. Altuve
2. Biggio though Altuve is making a serious run here
3. Random game, Father's Day weekend 2011 vs the Cards. Yeah Pujols hit an absolute monster blast over the train to seal the Cards' W, but whole extended fam was in MMP after Dad's heart attack and triple bypass in December. (He's still with us and going strong today.)
4. 2017 ALCS Gm 2, Correa walks off Yanks & Chapman. Son and I had an absolute blast. Wasn't able to make a WS game unfortunately.
