I’ve heard that it doesn’t sound nearly as rosey behind the scenes

Adversity? For paying a sex addict $40 MM and have him go so far off the end of the spectrum that he was finding chicks he could get away with beating up? For paying $32MM for a guy who breaks down every year? For spending $300MM this year on a roster and having so much disregard for the luxury tax that they could go get the best trade piece on the market?
Man I wish I had that much adversity in my life.

The latter is more likely but it sounds like the guy is claiming he knows Lance.
I don't think Lance would tweet a buddy that before it was announced. He knows how big of a deal it is.

Joe Buck is like Nickelback or Arby's. None of them are bad. People only hate them because the Internet tells them to.
When people are hungry - they actually think that they should go to Arby's?Harry Dunne said:I'm a little late on this reply, but:texasaggie2015 said:

- No one reasonable hates Arby's. It's top of it's class or close to it.
- At their peak only hipsters hated Nickelback. They sold 50M albums and if you were of a certain age in the early 00s, you definitely turned "How You Remind Me" up and hammered out that intro drum fill while wearing bootcut jeans without boots and a pooka shell necklace. You may even have had frosted tips. Yeah they were ubiquitous and started cranking out similar-sounding songs and everyone got tired of them, but like Coldplay, Kings of Leon etc. they had their day in the sun and you liked it. My new suburban gym is packed full of olds and they very considerately play the 90s and 00s station for us (and therefore a lot of NB). It's been long enough since their prime that I hadn't consciously listened to Nickelback in over a decade. Despite their subpar lyrics and imagining the lead singer's frosted chia hair in my head, I have to admit that I found myself singing along in my head and liking it.
- All that aside, I do agree that Joe Buck is a lot like Nickelback

Here's what happened to Nickelback. They were pretty good, people liked them and How You Remind Me was a hit. So everyone went out and bought that album. Then, while listening to that album, everyone realized all the songs sounded exactly alike.
Applebees was awful before that horrendous commercial and country song came out. Nickelback is like a dog whistle for humans, extremely painful. Arby's gave me the worst hot lead gut I've ever had in my life, -10 / 10, do not want again.BMX Bandit said:
I like Arbys.
Nickelback's songs all sound alike. The one song is fine, they just aren't a good band.
Applebees has always been terrible, even before I ever ate in a nice restaurant.
Insight like this is why I keep coming back. Well done.texasaggie2015 said:
The curly fries are Jose Vizcaino's defensive versatility. Obvious strength and sometimes strong enough to keep him on the roster alone.
