OK, let's pass some time til Friday night.

1) Favorite Astro (current)

2) Favorite Astro (all-time if different from a current fave)

3) Best Astros' game you've ever been to in person (regular season)

4) Best Astros' game you've ever been to in person (playoffs, if applicable)

Altuve/Bregs/Tucker/Yuli/Brantley/LMJ

Nolan Ryan/JR Richard/Cedeno/Biggio/Bagwell

77 vs Montreal Expos - my first game - Cedeno and Cruz homer and the scoreboard lights were the greatest thing I'd ever seen.
86 Mike Scott no hitter to clinch

86 Game 6 NLCS loss to Mets - Billy Hatcher home run game
17 WS Game 5 against LA - one of greatest WS game ever, top 3 sporting event I've been to (others are Rockets winning game 4 vs Orlando and Sat Bama game just made the list)
19 Game 2 vs Yankees - Correa walk off

1. Altuve

2. Biggio (but only for nostalgia… it's really Altuve)

3. When I was in tee ball, my Dad took me to a game and we were up "stretching our legs"… and right then, Kevin Bass hit a homerun to left that hit the fencing right below the mezzanine. I looked at my Pops asked who that was. He said, "that was Kevin Bass." I said, "I'M Kevin Bass." To which he said, "No you're not, Kevin Bass can switch hit." So I went home and started taking lefty cuts off the tee as soon as I got home.

But I do have some very great memories of the fencing in left that you could look through to left field.

In 88 a buddy and I went to watch stros-dodgers. We were leaving in top of 8th and my friend stop and yelled, "**** your Gibson, you sucks ass."

Kirk turns around, looks at us before inning starts, pauses, and then grabs his sack and tips his hat to us.

My respect for Kirk Gibson tripled that night.

Urias not pitching is pretty shocking
The guys not named Brian Kenny on the MLB Network show currently airing are not impressed with this idea.

Edit: In case it wasn't clear Knebel is doing to opener thing for Urias... according to the guys on TV.

I mean, I kind of get it - it's just Roberts overthinking the situation…. again.

The opener strategy is somewhat valid, you're basically saying that if our starter goes a third time through the order, it's not going to be with their 1-2-3 hitters.

I understand the strategy. I'm not sure I like it unless it's something your team has been doing all year and is used to it. Otherwise you're just throwing players in a position where they're a little uncomfortable.

Correa. Pay the man.

2) Favorite Astro (all-time if different from a current fave)
Biggio. Played the game right. Always looked up to him.

3) Best Astros' game you've ever been to in person (regular season)
the first game I took my kids to. Watching them experience everything was so cool.

4) Best Astros' game you've ever been to in person (playoffs, if applicable)
2019 ALCS game 2 - Verlander goes 9 and strikes out 13, then Correa wake it off by driving in Altuve.
Prior to that, it was the 18 inning game vs the Braves.

I think they're mainly trying to get the Giants to second-guess their own lineup decisions... make them less comfortable.

It also messes with a lineup. Put a lefty opener in when the lineup is made for a righty.

Hopefully our bats stay hot and we can just mash our way into the WS. It'd be nice if Yuli finds his groove, too.

Yeah. I wrote it backwards. Knebel throws right and Urias is the lefty.

Right idea but he got it backwards. Trying to mess up the line up that was going to be set for Urias who is alefty by starting a righty.

Why wouldn't urquidy start game 2?

Garcia has looked shaky for a month.

Want even keeled urquidy on road vs Garcia on road?

Garcia's home ERA is around 2.70 and his road ERA is around 4.30

Plus game 2 start for Garcia sets him up for 2 home starts (game 2 and game 6).

1) Altuve
2) A year or two ago I think I would have still said Berkman and Bagwell... but Altuve probably has taken that title now.
3) The second game of the year in 2013. Yu Darvish's almost perfect game because I also had seats about 3 rows up from our on deck circle so had a great view of his stuff all game. It was wild because we were so bad, we still lost, but we got to celebrate disappointing the Rangers.
4) The Jeff Kent walkoff in 2004.

Giant pic, but here is how everyone has faired vs Boston this year.

Pretty much all of our regulars hit very well. And I mean VERY well.

Pitching wise - Framber, Urquidy, Javier, & Garcia all had sucess. LMJ never faced them. Odo & Greinke got lit up.

So our game 1, 2 and (likely) 3 starts are all hovering around a 1.30 ERA vs Boston this year? Sign me up!

1) CC

2) Baggs

3) Hands down-

4) Tie

86 Mets game 6-Yes we lost but Hatcher's homerun is literally my best childhood memory with my father. I basically grew up in the Dome as my pops worked the dugout for a few years with HPD. Video doesn't do justice to the in person sound when he hit it. In the loge, you could see rows of people failing into the aisles because people were going ape *****

2004 NLDS-Visiting family in Atl and brother in law scored tickets. Beltran goes deep twice and finally beat those *******s.

Pretty cool video if you've never seen it and Dusty makes the last out in 5th no-no against the Express.
This video gets me jacked up everytime.

Arroyo. I have a feeling he is going to be particularly annoying this series.
