Even if the first rounders don't work out we've developed some serious talent at the position other ways.
I'm not sure how incentives play into AAV and luxury tax calculations. I'm sure there is some room, but if Valdez comes back mid-season, then that's an equivalent "trade" outcome of bolstering the rotation. We've seen Crane be willing to put in money when the team is competitive in the past, and he might do that this year.bearkatag15 said:
