Couldn't we also see an appearance from Verlander?

Imagine the rotation if both of those players come back. Although, it depends on how long they are able to come back and prepare for the post-season if we make it.

Yes, that would be a lovely scenario. All things considered if both come back it will give us a LOT more options for how to navigate post-season starts/bullpens

He's a pretty fierce competitor. If he's ready to pitch I think he will. If he does well, that helps him in free agency.

Doesn't signing odorizzi present a rooster crunch problem? Unless they put framber on the 60 day IL, do they have an open spot for him on the 40 man?

Game today is televised by the Cardinals broadcast team. For those with mlb.tv, game starts at 1pm eastern. There is a delayed broadcast on mlb network, but not sure what time.

Selling at his absolutely lowest isn't ideal. Take him off the prospect rankings. Let him build back up and try again. His ceiling is still ace. If we trade him what do we get? Low end reliever? Couple mid level prospects?

I think that was the initial prognosis. JV knew he would miss this year either way so was hoping to gut out a few postseason appearances.

Yup. Like Lance did in 2018. He knew he needed to go under the knife but he wanted a shot at a ring. He still did pretty damn well all things considered.
