I'm at a 5-6 going in. Astros playoff baseball in the afternoon brings back great memories of teachers wheeling the TV on a cart in to class to watch in 80-81 and then skipping school to see those 86 Mets games.
We get past the Twins, excitement will ratchet up to 7-8.

I'm below a 5, however you score that. Combine a terrible road record (28th) with the Twins home record (1st) and I don't see much reason for optimism.

I'll be watching and hoping for a miracle, though!

It is a good point with our starters being added to the BP. I just think LMJ is a road toss up if we're going to get bad lance or good Lance - that makes me nervous.

At the end of the day, it's going to come down to what our offense can do and the late inning bullpen.

At the end of the day, it's still a dangerous lineup with the potential to be potent. I still love the lineup, just ready for it all to click together at the same time. That's a tough ask in the postseason, but I think these guys can do it.

I really want a first round win to shut up some people.

I could maybe understand if we had JV and Greinke and didn't want to hold our best lefty for a game that might not happen.

But JV is gone and we actually have a few lefties in the pen we could trust.

In the playoffs with most guys it's a tossup anyway. Look at Greinke's playoff history. He's a tossup as well. Even just last postseason he got shelled the first game he pitched and then was excellent in WS G7.

At least with all of our starting pitchers we have guys who have pitched gems in the postseason before. And not that long ago .
