Brewers just clinched the Playoffs at under .500 as well
At least we aren't the only ones now

With all honesty, I'm not sure we really have an MVP. No one has been consistently "good" throughout this entire debacle.
The weird thing is that this is pretty much the same lineup that rivaled the 1927 Yankees in wRC+ last year. Is there any other sport where you can just seemingly lose your talent in one offseason? Imagine if a basketball team had a team free throw percentage of 85% one season and the next season the same players shot 65%.Mathguy64 said:
For the record I'm not happy or gloating about guessing they would finish poorly. It sickens me to watch this lineup play so poorly. I get the pitching is patchwork at best. But the hitters have by and large crapped the bed most of the season.

Oh wait that's just depressing.
He's gone. Every time you see something like this they are not planning on staying.

Baseball is so psychological.

I promise you he will stay if we offer him the most money. It's just as much on us as it is in him.
I am against giving "older" guys long contracts. But I am pro George Springer. So this is tough.
I'll be selfish and hope the market is flat out terrible and we get George on the cheap (relative here, based on what he could have gotten in a pre Covid world).

one glimmer of hope for Springer...
Correa finished with just a .709 OPS.
teams don't give mega-extensions to players in the low 700's.
the Astros may not do anything with Correa in the offseason...and that would help out George
