Dang. 2020 has been ugly in a myriad of ways.
For the record I'm not happy or gloating about guessing they would finish poorly. It sickens me to watch this lineup play so poorly. I get the pitching is patchwork at best. But the hitters have by and large crapped the bed most of the season. This whole season has been one great big cluster and the joy of it has been taken away and it pisses me off. Maybe we will catch lighting in a bottle.

Regular season MVP probably hast to go to Tucker or Springer. I'd say Tucker because he was really clutch when everybody else was really cold
With all honesty, I'm not sure we really have an MVP. No one has been consistently "good" throughout this entire debacle.

True. Most consistent player was Brantley most likely
I'd still say Tucker was our MVP because without him we likely are scoreboard watching today to see if we are in. He had big clutch hits in that win streak during low scoring games.

The weird thing is that this is pretty much the same lineup that rivaled the 1927 Yankees in wRC+ last year. Is there any other sport where you can just seemingly lose your talent in one offseason? Imagine if a basketball team had a team free throw percentage of 85% one season and the next season the same players shot 65%.Mathguy64 said:

Yup. And if bet you could pull a stretch of 60 games we're we weren't very good and a stretch of 60 where we would have murdered the 27 Yankees face off.
I wouldn't take let this season outweigh or matter as much as a full 162 one when judging the players.
This also gives out reason to believe these guys still have a legit shot of making some magic happen in October.

Yeah it will be a tough call. I think Crane should make an exception and keep Springer because he is the face of this Astros era. But I understand that he likely isn't worth the contract he will get.

So the stros get the twins. I havent watched them at all. What's the scouting report? They still a high slugging, high K team? How's their pitching?

I would not expect Correa to entertain an extension. He wants to hit the open market.
He really faltered down the stretch. Over the last 17 games he got a .357 OPS!
