Holy **** you gotta be ****ing kidding! The replay the rangers broadcast showed it clearly hitting top of wall and the massive bounce it took is impossible for it to have taken if it hit the padding.

I've been impressed with Jurado's progress this year. After last year I thought he was just-a-guy, and would just bounce between AAA and the majors. But lately he is looking like he could be a #4 or #5 type starter. Or maybe a middle/long relief guy if starting doesn't work.

Just something to think about.

If the win loss trend continues for both teams into All Star break as they have through last 10 games for Houston and for Texas it will look like this to close out.
6-3 for the Rangers
2-6 for Houston
If you'd have told me we have a chance to be a game up or tied with Houston at the All Star break at the start of the year I'd have called you crazy and asked what drug you were on.

Nice win for the Rangers for the sweep! 9 games above .500 and 5 games back from the astros. Could be 4.5 pretty soon as the pirates are up on them 8-0 in the sixth and they're threatening for more. Twins and Rays tied at 2 in the 7th, so we could be looking at tied for the top WC spot. It's been a great 2 week stretch here.

Tampa will be interesting. Going to need Lynn to give us a good outing tomorrow. Sampson in game 2 will probably be rough. ESPN currently has Chavez listed as the potential starter for game 3 so hopefully he does what he did on Wednesday, but who knows who we'll throw out there.

OAK is one to watch out for. Coming on as strong as the Rangers over the last 10.

Tampa just used 9 pitchers against Minnesota today as well as wont be getting back into Florida until early morning hours makes tomorrow's game look really prime for the Rangers

Jump on them tomorrow than manage to wrangle 1 of the next 2 from them and just about every ranger fan will be ecstatic and the experts will be shocked.

The Rangers were probably in their hotel rooms in St. Petersburg by 8 PM EDT.

By the way - let's not fail to recognize the fine work of game planning by Julio Rangel in the Detroit series. All those starters went deep because they all pitched the young Tigers the same way. Challenge them early in the count to hit pitch 1 or 2 - then don't give them anything good after that. When you start damn near every at bat 0-1 or 0-2, you can go 7-8 innings.

Here is the deal... I don't know how many Wins it will take, all I know is we have to finish ahead of Cleveland, Boston and Oak. They are the only 3 teams to contend, IMO.

It is why I said earlier... if the Rangers do well on this road trip and get some distance on these teams, it will take some of the pressure off for those teams to stay in the running.

Looks like the WC has tightened up, in a sense... with the White Sox being the only team falling. The other teams that were distant, continue to fade.

The Rangers went 4-6 in the next 10, and have gone 5W since then.

At this pace, if a cluster of 6 teams remain in the hunt, anything can happen. Not sure if Chavez is the answer at #5 SP, until we do something, it is likely to remain close. Oakland has lost it's Ace to suspension. I think they are the most likely to be the next team to drop out of the mix.

We've added Gallo and Pence back to the fold, and Santana seems he will get more playing time in lieu of Odor/Guzman.

if we finish out to the Allstar break at 6-3 over next 9 games, Its going to be very interesting to see what moves the Rangers management makes to get 1-2 top end starters and if we even can make that kind of move.

JD should find a way to acquire his "unicorn" Zack Greinke. He should be available, the main issue will be his contract. Need the owners to step in and let JD pursue it.

Greinke would be controllable for multiple seasons, he would help us this year and next year at least. Don't know the full assortment of details tho.

JD has tried so many times, would be nice to finally acquire him.

Santana not in the line up tonight. Rougie better do something. Too big a series to be not playing your best players.

IDGAF if it's june. Your one game back of a team you're likely to be battling the rest of the year for the WC. How this team does in the next couple weeks is likely to dictate what JD does before the deadline as well.
