I'm pretty baseball naive. Been a passive Astros fan in the past. With Cole most likely leaving, who will replace him next season?

Hinch isn't going to the Mets

Game 3 Gary Cederstrom
Cederstrom had been a less aggressive strike caller than his peers for much of the decade until the past two seasons, when his tendencies seem to have shifted. He went from ranking in the bottom 15 to the top 15 in our Extra Strikes Called Per 150 Pitches stat when the comparison is 2015-2017 vs. 2018-2019.
Most important tendencies: Cederstrom's strike zone appears to have widened the past two years, as he has called more pitches at or near the outside corner strikes than his colleagues. He has been a little tougher than other umps on low pitches, particularly when a right-handed batter is at the plate.
