It could be worse, could you imagine going a decade without even making it to the World Series

Yeah, I could too, but at least we aren't entitled little beeshes who dump beer on our opponents. We are Astros fans, our kids deserve to know what true misery is, and it ain't getting to watch your team in late October, that is no where near the misery most of us have lived through.

what's frustrating...

Altuve, Brantley, Yordan, and Yuli are all hitting over .333 in the series. They are doing fine.

but 7-8-9 spots are killing the 'stros --- especially compared to the Nats' 7-8-9

Agree, Suzuki had 1 hit all post season until WS--if I recall correctly.

it does make you start to wonder about all those games...57 of them...vs. the Mariners, Angels, and Rangers.

strangely enough...the Astros were only 11-9 vs. the national league during interleague play this season. Had a lot of problems with the NL.

that has continued the last 2 nights

That's right.

I'm only watching the rest this game because I know what it feels like to wait half a lifetime to watch your team play in the World Series and then another 12 years between them. Enjoy every minute. There's no guarantee anyone on this roster will even still be playing baseball by the time we make it back here again.

And however this turns out, it was a hell of a season.
