When the game comes back to Minute Maid, they should not allow him in the booth! Although, I like him more than the other guys, especially ARood

Couple of thoughts about the game last night:
- When the announcers were talking about the awesome play by Correa to get the guy out at home they were saying how exciting they were about the runner coming into home and then they said "Unfortunately, the Astros prevented it" They don't even pretend to be neutral when it comes to our guys.
- I should go back and watch the game to see what percentage of the feed was shots of Judge-either the fifteen or so replays of his home run or simply looking at him in the dugout or field. It was sickening-why would anyone want to look at that smug ugly face?
- I have profound hearing impairment so anything I watch on tv has subtitles; yes ARod said Carlos Beltran instead on Correa-what a *****.

Man, I hope Alvarez can pull it together. He seems lost up there. Hope it isn't a case of pitchers now having a sure fire strategy of getting him out.
One game at a time my friend.Mr.Ackar07 said:
If the Astros win Cole's start, the Yankees cannot win the series without beating either JV or Cole back at Minute Maid.*

Where's the fire? Where's the aggression? I think he's thinking way too much. I would move him down.
Hence the "If". It's a big game Tuesday because the series would have to go back to MMP for the Yankees to win the series. And if there is no rain out they would have to go through JV and Cole.exp said:One game at a time my friend.Mr.Ackar07 said:

They could have easily won tonight. And tomorrow is no given. One game at a time!
It seems like they usually wait until we are 1-2 wins away from actually clinching to actually do the presale so that there's less of a chance of doing refunds. So I would expect emails to go out after we get one more win. So hopefully Tuesday.tjholley16 said:
Any idea when World Series presale emails go out? I remember it being around this time last year right about game 2-3

I actually think Arod does a pretty good job in this gig.

Well he has enough fire to break a bat, but not enough to make an adjustment. This series he now has 8 plate appearances, 5 Ks, 1 walk, and no hits.rosco511 said:exp said:Lost is a good word. Ugh.agcat said:

Did you not see him break his bat after the one strike out? Is that not fire?
This is baseball, everyone eventually has to make adjustments, and the players are humans, not robots. Given his swing, production, and demeanor, I am betting on Alvarez to make the adjustment and get it figured out sooner rather than later.
He is very knowledgeable but that doesn't change the fact that he and Ortiz are known cheaters and therefor shouldn't play nearly as prominent role in baseball that they do.Beat40 said:
I agree with you. I think he gets the hate because he's ARod, but I like listening to him talk baseball.
