Just shows that no sure thing with relievers (or anything for that matter) in playoff baseball. Hader and a two run lead should be basically a guarantee.

eh... every player, no matter how amazing they are defensively can potentially make an error like that. Correa game 4 2015, Reddick (ball bouncing out of his glove for a homerun in 2017 ALDS), Springer diving for the ball in game 5

that was just a guy rushing to throw it before he had the ball.

So I basically can't use anything

Again why is Josh exempt from making a mistake just because he's a vet? He's slower than Tucker and has to play further back. He's an average fielder, it's not like we're comparing Tucker to Marisnick

Springer diving for a ball isn't the same thing and we don't know how Tucker will react under the bright lights. He certainly didn't handle the pressure last year.

Hey, I want Tucker to be Ted, nothing would make me happier but a savvy vet in the playoffs, when your lineup is already stacked, is more valuable. Sorry, it just is.

Exactly, I know they're rich in DC, but if I'm paying $12 for a beer, I'm drinking it all. Plus since they stop serving in the 7th, don't typically have any left in the 9th.

Strasburg only threw 34 pitches. I still think he goes in game 2 unless he doesn't feel right. Corbin goes game 1 and Max comes back game 3

You'll get your wish because Hinch is ultra conservative but it isn't the right move.

I get that you Josh supporters like his personality and the fact that he's been a Stro for a while but Tucker is the better hitter and defender.

And our lineup is stacked but also bipolar and inconsistent. Tucker's bat would be a huge increase over Josh

Nats are going to have a rough go at it. Stras going game 2 would be two days rest. If he can go Friday then they can get three games from their 1 and 2. Just not a good situation for them now.


If Nats can steal game 1 I could see them starting Sanchez game 2 and saving Stras and Scherzer for games 3 and 4
