Pretty sure ausmus has just said be careful because he's one of the best hitters in the game

I'd be upset with my manager if he let an opponent get hits off of us. You're supposed to make it hard on hitters no matter what the situation is

In the upcoming break I wish the Astros would bring in Carlos Beltran to talk to Alvarez.

And Cole is starting to remind me of Mike Scott at the end of the '86 season. After a while you don't even worry about the other team scoring. I hope JV gets the Cy Young but if it's game 7 of the WS I think I would want Cole on the mound.

That's why you want Jake in center instead of straw.

Less about the play on the ball, more about how bad that throw in was. Straw is great, but he's not who I want playing center field in a tight game.

Straw is fast, but he's not on Jake's level when it comes to defense. Not many people are, though. So the question is, do you want an elite defensive replacement or elite speed on the base paths? Not that either are terrible at the other, but both have a clear strength.

Straw would never be used in the OF in the postseason. It would be Springer. Straw would be on the postseason to run the bases.
