Do I get to come talk trash the next time he goes 0-fer?
Only if Reddout also gets on base five timesredline248 said:

What superior offense?
The one where he was on base 5 times tonight with an RBI and stolen base. Reddick ended up being pinch hit for, meanwhile Tucker was intentionally walked

The last time Reddick had 4 hits in a game was July of 2016.

Well given Miley's 578.13 ERA his last few starts, Hinch may just be conceding this one early

Speaking of Diaz. He was brought in to cover the utility portion of Marwin's value. Brantley to cover LF.
Let's look at the 3.
Marwin / Diaz / Brantley
AVG .263 / .250 / .322
OBP .323 / .329 / .382
SLG .420 / .428 / .518
OPS .743 / .757 / .900
wOBA .315 / .317 / .376
wRC+ 95 / 100 / 140
Diaz cost us Trent Thornton (25 year old rookie who started 28 games this year with a 5.04 ERA, 4,75 FIP, 1.457 WHIP). By making this trade we don't pay Marwin 21 M over two years. It frees up money to pay Brantley 32 M over two years.
Basically Jeff was able to spend an extra 11 M and mediocre prospect for completely replace Marwin and then add an elite player.
Not breaking any news here, but still neat to look at.

yes, the Diaz trade has been okay...but just okay. Not outstanding or anythingCFTXAG10 said:
I've been wondering about Diaz for the last couple of weeks, but haven't gone to look at stats until today.
Batting .186 in his last 15 games. Now he has drawn 10 walks in 43 AB's, but only 8 hits.

Interesting approach by Hinch to get Ted more ABs...he's basically filling in Tucker for everyone's day off. Smart move. We get to see Tucker dominate while Reddick falters going into playoffs, leading to him having a starting spot with a beastly lineup of:
Springer
Altuve
Brantley
Bregman
Alvarez
Correa
Gurriel
Tucker
Chirinos
Basically the top 1-8 are 30+ HR .900+ OPS Monsters when healthy.
