Game ball last night once again goes to Kyle Tucker. Now slashing 353/.389/.529. Gotta keep him on the field.

I also questioned Tucker because he's been very streaky this year offensively in the minors. I LOVE that he's hitting like we expected him too when he was called up last year. I hope this means he's made the adjustments to how they're pitching to him but I'd like to see him actually play RF some games soon.

I still think Hinch is one of the most conservative coaches in baseball today but if Tucker can keep this tear going there's a chance he'll be convinced.

I've been wondering about Diaz for the last couple of weeks, but haven't gone to look at stats until today.

Batting .186 in his last 15 games. Now he has drawn 10 walks in 43 AB's, but only 8 hits.

Speaking of Diaz. He was brought in to cover the utility portion of Marwin's value. Brantley to cover LF.

Basically Jeff was able to spend an extra 11 M and mediocre prospect for completely replace Marwin and then add an elite player.

Not breaking any news here, but still neat to look at.

He's going to need to do some similar magic in the off-season with Reddick's last remaining 13M albatross year to free up space for signings

I imagine Wednesday and next Sunday's games will have similar dual stars sitting. Running out of off days to double stack

yes, the Diaz trade has been okay...but just okay. Not outstanding or anything

18 for 43 is just fine...

Interesting approach by Hinch to get Ted more ABs...he's basically filling in Tucker for everyone's day off. Smart move. We get to see Tucker dominate while Reddick falters going into playoffs, leading to him having a starting spot with a beastly lineup of:

Springer
Altuve
Brantley
Bregman
Alvarez
Correa
Gurriel
Tucker
Chirinos

Basically the top 1-8 are 30+ HR .900+ OPS Monsters when healthy.
