As bad as the Mariners have been, they still sport a better record than either of the two bottom dwellers in the AL Central (Detroit and KC) and the AL East (Toronto and Baltimore), and are breathing down the neck of the White Sox despite being swept the Stros this weekend.
They'd be well clear of relegation in any league.
It's the season of the haves and have nots in the AL, Rangers and Angels excepting.

He has also had four 3-HR allowed outings and only has 4 losses total...and the fact that his record is still so good shows that the bullpen has done a good job holding his leads even when they are slim.
And again, he is alone at #1 in MLB in Ws and how much better than 15-4 can you be when you have given up 3 bombs 4 times and lead the majors in HR allowed?
This is one of those rare times as a sports fan. Your #1 team is rolling, they have something special brewing, and you can't wait until the next game. It doesn't happen very often (outside the trophy mecca of Boston, anyway), and you want to fast forward to the end but also stop time and savor each moment both in the same instant.

I think he probably gets a shot with a September call-up. Having that kind of arm in your bullpen can be a hell of a weapon if he's firing on all cylinders.
