These two years of stacked outfield is our window, with maybe a 2023 run assuming we get an outfielder, Verlander continues to defy Father Time and we magically develop some pitching or replace Cole.

also keep in mind...the Astros are much closer to "payroll prison" in 2019...then they were in 2017.

not as much flexibility right now due to the JV, Altuve, and Bregman contracts. Gonna need the farmhands to fill the roster in 2 years or less

You don't fully understand Luhnow and the long term approach. We aren't playing for a two year window. We're playing for a long term of perpetual contention in the playoffs.

That's your takeaway? Arguably the best team in the AL, maybe baseball, and the Astros will be "lucky" to prove as much... ok.
