Agreed this umpire has been all over the place in his calls. The one consistent call he's had is refusing to call the pitch down low at the knees.

Also didn't see the Kulpa game, so I cannot compare the two.

Stassi then completely fails to do his job (even with the ump giving him multiple calls) and get the pitcher's spot up in this inning.

Although that's also on Diaz's weak ground ball, have to find a way to work that AB.

Pretty good inning by Miley there to continue to dance around trouble. The hit wasn't even on a bad pitch.

But there has been a LOT of traffic and the pitch count is way up there at 85 through four. Not likely to go past five innings.

Astros fans are the only fan base that can be a true measuring stick for this. Unviveral DH should have been here a decade or more ago. I bet Astros fans, if polled would be 90% in favor of DH.

I was same way and used to be a devout "pitchers should hit" guy.

Brewers fans have the opposite move. Wonder if they now prefer NL style. I doubt it

I grew up being a NL guys & was furious when we were blackmailed into the AL. I hated the DH rule.

But now, after the years, I've grown to like it & would support it being the rule in both leagues.
