What pitcher wouldn't want to pitch for the Astros? Strom has made one of the best pitchers of all time even better. It's a first class organization with a college atmosphere. The offense is incredible.
The only downside I can think of are the Crawford Boxes.

The Astros are definitely a desirable option, but so are several other teams too: Dodgers and Yankees to name just two

If his spin rates are above average (I know nothing about his) this is exactly the kind of acquisition the Astros front office looks for. Cheap, controllable player with the skills they can use to mold into a better pitcher.
That said, I would hope they also go after an established pitcher in addition to a young guy with significant team control left.
Does Jake count? He's an elite defensive fielder and he's only a little below average at the plate.
I don't think there's any way Jake gets traded. Too much defensive value late in the game to give him up, still controllable for another year or two, and seems to be coming around offensively. Plus, he's a clubhouse favorite.Farmer1906 said:

I actually thought he (Minor) pitched pretty well aside from the 3 jack lapse. Struck out 10 only walked 1.

Yea. And the rebuilding Tigers don't want a veteran outfielder with one year of controllability. That's not the kind of asset they're looking for in return for Boyd.
