I'm not going to put a ton do this on Rondon if he gives up a big inning. Yes, he bears responsibility for his pitching, but why even ask a guy to do something he's never done before in his career?

It's more upsetting that we are even in this postion in the first place.

I don't get how it would be overly difficult for a reliever to pitch the first inning as opposed to the 6th or 7th or 8th. If anything, wouldn't it be easier to know exactly when you're going to be called upon?

And last night if you opener gets through his innings clean your primary is a scrub and he'll f it up.

I agree it sucks we can't field 5 serviceable starters, but Rondon is coming into a clean inning, bases empty like he does 3 nights a week. Yes, the pregame is different, but the guy is a major league pitcher, throw a strike for God's sake
