I was certain he used his last option year last year. But I could be wrong.

I thought all 4 of the bench guys were out of them and that was tying their hands a bit. But again I could be wrong.

I remember reading that his option was only good through mid or late may because of service time. After that, it expired and they can no longer option him.

Alvarez is on a scorching pace of ~130 HR/162 games. I wonder if the Astros targeted this stretch of opponents to bring him up because of bad pitching.

The prospect the Md got was the Yankees #27 ranked minor league player. So the got Encarnacion for a 19 year old lottery long shot. And the Ms are paying half the remaining salary. What kind of idiot is running Seattle? Because the Yankees just stole E.

the Red Sox are finished with Seattle. But the Rays haven't played the Mariners yet this season. And the Rangers have 9 games left vs. Seattle. Small edge to Tampa and the Arlingtons
