George is now at 16 HR, 39 runs, 39 RBI, OPS 1.081 and 114 total bases. I think its safe to say he's still #1.

A few weeks ago the Astros were leading in hitting but middle of the pack in runs scored. A few crummy opponents and that changed quickly.

Not only that but there was a guy on mlb radio yesterday saying a lot of our starters didn't play much in spring. So, that first month they were still finding their swings and stuff. Had not heard that as I don't follow spring ball.
The Tyler White situation is maddening.
Guy is struggling against crappy pitching in situations where there is absolutely no pressure and the entire lineup sans him is raking.
It's tough because on one hand the team is rolling and who cares if one guy in the lineup sucks, but at the same time now would be an ideal time to give Yordan a shot. The team is rolling, the comp is not elite, and there's absolutely no pressure. You wouldn't have to worry about fitting him into a defensive position and taking ABs from someone. Just drop him in the lineup at DH and let him go get big league ABs.

it all depends on Corbin's next start. If he does well then he will likely stay on the MLB roster.Safe at Home said:

It's clear that we are currently the best team in the league.
Does anyone actually expect White to be good at this point? I would love to eat crow down the road after he starts to rake but I just don't see that happening.
I could see Hinch deciding to ride this offense with a short bench for awhile. He loves having that extra arm in the bullpen. I think dropping White when Altuve returns in a week or 2 will be the move. Especially if he continues to not get hits or even have competitive ABs at the plate.
The striking difference between this run and the two mini losing periods is two out hits with RISP. If we are getting those key hits other teams really have no chance.
