Springer's Fangraphs profile page says this:
"The Quick Opinion: Springer once had a rounded skill set but has now seen his skill stabilize and begin to decline. He's productive with little upside as he ages into his 30's."
You skipped the larger paragraph that's even more critical:
"The 29-year-old Springer's overall skill set has lost some luster. First, he's been forced to quit stealing bases because of subpar results over the past three seasons (20 for 41). While he was able to bring down his strikeout rate, it increased 2% points to 20% last season. For the 4th straight season, he's seen his GB% increase and it's nearing 50%.
It's tough to hit home runs with so many groundballs. He's hitting those groundballs weaker with a four-year low average exit velocity (88.6 mph) and career low ISO (.169).
It's just tough to find any positive traits for him. He's been a great source of Runs hitting leadoff for the Astros but the lineup could get jumbled if the team wants to get faster at the top. He has a decent skill set with little red flags planted all over."
