I feel like the Stros just draft current players brothers just for shlts and giggles.

They did it with Bregman's brother I think last year, did it with Stubb's brother this year in the 10th round, and now Correa's brother a couple times.

You know, I don't blame Keuchel for not taking the offer the Astros made a couple of years back. I mean given what pitchers were being paid with his pedigree, he had to feel he was going to get a substantial payday, unfortunately the market completely changed and so did his chance to make really good money.

I don't feel sorry for him, but back 2 or 3 years ago, the market for pitchers and FA's as a whole are dramatically different than now. I understand his perspective at the time, I don't understand it now given the market.

Regardless he's making 43M to play 2.5ish years, which is 17Mish per year. His "market value" was $16.5M per over 5 years based on similar players, so a much shorter deal but not too far off the mark.

Crychel's market value is listed at $22M per.

5/90 seems much closer to what hes actually worth. If he gets 110+ out of anyone I'll be shocked.

He may get a 2.5 year deal worth 50 to 60, but I think a team might be overpaying at 60.
