I'm pretty sure it's a common tactic for local voters to leave someone off the ballot if they threaten their guy (MVP, Cy Young, etc) but it's all bush league.
Fangraphs projections give them a 1.5% chance of making the playoffs. So they will spend the next month making poor choices to hang on to guys they should flip, setting them back for next year.W said:
the Rangers would be the second wildcard if the season ended today --- how about that

The Cy Young would have to be Verlander's at this point. He leads (or is very close to leading) in every single category. His whip, avg against, and strikeouts are impressive.

Just shows how crappy the rest of the majors are if the rangers would get the 2nd WC

I swear, just about every homer I've seen from Alvarez in these Twitter clips is opposite field

Huge red flag. He can't get around on the fastball. Leave him in the minors another year.

I know your post is a bit of tongue and cheek, his swing is an inside/out swing and is long, so you will see a lot of opposite field hits and HR's. I am interested in seeing him hit in the majors and how his swing will translate to major league pitching.

That's also a good approach if you're 6-6
