Reading previous posts about the lidge, dotel, Wagner bullpen brings back bad memories. People have this illusion that they were great. They had good numbers but that team choked in the last week to miss the playoffs. Wagner popped off about the organization and the city to get traded. He helped resurrect the Astros in 04 by serving up a gopher ball to Biggio in Philly in a great come from behind game for the stros. If you want to see something ugly, look at billy wagner's postseason stats. That guy is trash to me and hopefully writers look fully at numbers to keep him out of the hof.

We better not see Rodgers unless we are up or down by 8+ runs. He is not good.

His stats in AAA are not good. 1.299 WHIP, 6.3 SO/9, 3.4 BB/9 and almost 9 hits/9

You have to give those stats some context.

The league ERA is 5.67 - league WHIP is 1.514

Maybe thats why some of our guys that hit like Ted Williams down there struggle up here while most of our pitchers outperform their AAA stats.

I don't know why he gets played anywhere other than 1st. He is not a utility player.

1B isn't even his natural position. Came up at 3b and played some SS while in Cuba.

That's was a classic kemp AB. Foul off a bunch of pitches, squared up a handful and ultimately draws a walk.

When he is selective he's a pesky out. He needs to get back to just getting on base more often via walk.
