While I agree and think they made the mistake last time not doing that, who doesn't play? George, Reddick, Brantley and Jake right now are trading 3 spots between 4 guys on a regular basis with the DH being used to get ABs for George mostly for a day off. Every 5th game or so Kemp takes one spot. If Tucker comes up that really messes up the OF.
They need a DH/1B to come up. Wonder who they have in AAA who can do that?
I agree with everything you said. My main point is whenever the organization is ready. Could be this year, could be next. He's only 22 right now.
If they want to bring him up this year, I think they have to move Kemp and White. You do that, you can move Brantley to the DH and let Kyle play the majority of the time in the OF.
You can still rotate George through the DH when they would want to give Kyle a day off or a lefty match up when they sit Josh.
I am not sold that this year is the year for Kyle to come up. It's a tough year for the organization to make that call, but I think we will start to get some clarity as the trade deadline approaches.
Of course, the position above is based on them letting Tucker play every day. I wonder if they were shy about him playing everyday because we were in a dogfight for the division and needed the more sure offense. If we have a commanding lead of the division going into the summer, it may be different.
My guess, based on nothing, is he'll come up in September if he comes up this year.
