I'm glad we caught the tipping, but I'm hoping our offense can rise up without needing against the Yanks. Their lineup is 5x better than the Rays. We HAVE to string hits together and score more runs than we did in this series.

Cole is an Astro next season
If Crane does it then he rockets to number 1 as the best owner of all time as long as we have enough left in the tank to keep the core (Springer, Altuve, Bregman) together.

I think my favorite part about the Rays was Choi. It was so easy to see that he was having fun out there. You almost have to like players like him.

I agree. I watched the discussion on Fox and MLB Network. No one was making the Astros out to be the bad guy. Just mentioned they benefited from it.

if the Astros resign Cole...payroll will be astronomical for 2020 & 2021. Especially 2020.

but only for those 2 seasons. It can become reasonable again in 2022

He was, and they didn't figure it out until after the second time it happened. I think it was something about how he was holding the ball in his glove.

You think he takes a 2 year - $70MM deal instead of a long term $250MM deal? Man, I hope you're right but I just don't see it.

We need Mrs. Verlander to work on Mrs. Cole...they certainly were chummy after the game. Also Mrs Grienke needs to work on Mrs Cole too. That's the key...money only does so much.

oh, it would still be a 6 or 7-year deal with the 'stros...

but JV's and Grienke's contracts expire after 2021. That's about $65 MM. So some payroll relief would be available beginning with the 2022 season
