... and like I have been saying for years, we should have never traded Pence.

So we lost two all star caliber starters this year And didn't make a big move to get another starting pitcher? Genius

When all you throw are breaking balls and they don't break you are in for a long day

Pitching sucks, and hitting blows as well. Feels like 2011.

I was concerned about starting pitching as well.

We needed to sign Morton or Keuchel and let both go.

Keuchel can still be had on a 1 year deal. Astros should just prorate the qualifying offer and see if he bites.

This. And it's a long season.

Can't usually stop the alarmists with common sense or facts, but we can try.

Also we knew early in the offseason that LMJ would be out

There's no guarantee Keuchel would be any better than who we are running out there.

Couple of bad starts in a row, but coming into the series I believe our SP ERA was 4th in the AL.

These last two days have looked like a vintage Keuchel rough outing.

It's all or nothing with this team at the plate. What percentage of our runs have come via HR?

Pitching was fine until yesterday. Cole and Mchugh have put together two days of terrible pitching.

Did you actually try to offer someone money in exchange for an out?

True statement. That would just bring back a very familiar whipping post, nothing more.

The team has been on the road basically since February. The Mets and Red Sox are only teams that have played as few games at home this year.

They'll sort it out.

I do hope that Kemp in center is a novelty. Need Springer or Marisnick roaming out there.

I'm not sure DeShields was in the box. His front foot was well behind the plate on that side shot. Makes you wonder where his back foot was.

Just turned the game on, so I haven't really seen McHugh pitch. Possible there could be something to Cole saying the Rangers were stealing signs last night? Or is McHugh just off today?

Last 2 games they've smoked every 2-strike pitch like they knew exactly what was coming
Harry Dunne

I don't second-guess AJ a lot, but why leave McHugh in? Throw Framber in there and give us a chance while the game is at least slightly within reach.

We can score 5-6 runs in 5 innings. 9-10 is a lot tougher.

Hard to believe a team with as bad of hitters as theirs can square up this many balls in 2 consecutive games without knowing the signs

Their hitting has been better than ours this season. It's their pitching that is supposed to be terrible.
