Home field Magic # at 4. We go 3-3 and they have to go 4-0.

NYY - 1 TB - 1
Bot 12

The crazy part is that it's a bullpen day for both. Yankees are on pitcher #11, Rays on pitcher #9. Position players are going to be pitching shortly if it keeps going.

Edit - nvm. Rays win in 12

Wear em out.

You've got a good one. Mine thinks a foul ball is a "good hit".

Early next year Astros MVP candidates?

So Altuve, Bregs with MVP seasons. Who is next? Springer or Yordan next year?

There are 4 legit MVP candidates on this team next year in the 4 you mentioned. Especially if Yordan can play an average 1B.

5 if Correa stays healthy ...... that's a strong if

Or you could even throw JV/Cole (if he stays) in there

It's just like turning over on the golf ball -- it just feels/looks so good to get out in front of the ball. Can't blame her or anyone for loving those. Anyway, my wife is watching some GoodLife stuff in the bedroom, so I wish for her to just watch games with me.

If we go to the game, she's cool, but just doesn't watch on TV with me. She says she gets enough with our kids baseball schedule. I can't stand a day without baseball.

I'd like to see Corea make an MVP run in the next year and then we trade him....

The wife and I are planning a trip to Seattle next year. Scheduling it in conjunction with the Astros being out there.

That said, any tips on hotels, sights, restaurants? It'll be our first trip to the NW.

I've lived in Seattle for nearly 10 years now. The nicest weather by far is July and August. Any other time and it can be quite cool and rainy. T mobile park is down in the stadium district slightly south of downtown. Downtown hotels are preferred even with a bit of a walk to the stadium. I wouldn't prioritize being close to the ballpark hotel-wise. Be prepared for a significant homeless and drug problem to be present downtown. Heroin is a near epidemic in some areas. There are areas to avoid, north part of 4th ave for some reason draws a bad crowd and some public drug dealing is present near west lake center. Just a heads up on all that stuff. It changed dramatically for the worse with the opioid crisis. Restaurants: dahlia, Lola's, (those are sister restaurants, if you like coconut cream pie the best ever are at those 2 places). Other thoughts- tavolatta for the pork chop is phenomenal. Purple is a great wine bar and restaurant if you're into that stuff. Sounds random but there is a cinerama theater downtown as well which is an amazing movie experience. One giant screen, owned and restored by the late Paul Allen. Get the chocolate covered popcorn, you'll be glad you did. Also a cool thing to do is go to south lake union just north of downtown and book a flight on a float plane. Kenmore air, they fly up to the San Juan islands, whale watching or just hanging out. Beautiful way to see the area.

Striking out every batter in the lineup exactly once... that's just crazy

If we could get an amazing haul of MLB ready talent for Correa I'd totally be down for trading him in the off-season.

Our offense this year was incredible despite him mostly being out...

Our holes are mostly in pitching though and I doubt we get any proven pitching talent.

Just to remember, JRR had 313 Ks in 292 IP. Cole is at 206 IP. Basically 10 full games less work.

Verlander and Cole are SICK! If we don't win it all I think it's a major disappoint...

Man I thought JV should get CY with his consistent performance all year and the no hitter

But damn, Cole is peaking now and seems absurdly dominant...Im now leaning Cole

Cole isn't going away quietly in the Cy Young chase!

If he pitches a No-No on his last start I say give it to him!!!

The sabermetric argument says JV. The eye test says Cole. The same could be said for MVP. The sabermetric MVP is Trout. The eye test is Bregs.

I guess I was being lazy and assuming that Verlander would win it. But man Cole has been dominant the last ~2 months.
