It's not just this. His comment when asked about an extension early in spring training by the media was basically to laugh and roll his eyes. He's about to hit his first free agency. He wants money. Every player does. I don't blame him. Scott boras is his agent, so it'll take eleventy billion dollars to sign him. The Astros don't spend money on long expensive contracts in free agency. Bregman was different since he's still under control for more years.
I don't know, maybe that's just his personality, but his attitude seems a lot different after he went through arbitration than it was last year after getting traded. Just my opinion. I'm sure the Astros will give him a qualifying offer so a draft pick is tied to him since he's the most unlikely of the free agents to accept one.
