I'm sure he will. I know other people on this board (not me of course) have been thinking Harper could fall into the Astros' lap if the long term deal he wants isn't there for him. But the idea that it might not be there was clearly just fake news posturing by Boras and the MLBPA. It was there all along. Machado signing a 10 year/$300mm deal proves it. It's just a matter of time before Harper signs his 10 year/$330mm deal with the highest bidder. Wonder what Boras, Heyman, JV and Evan Longoria will complain about now.

But with Correa and Bregman coming up after George plus at least one of Cole/JV on the books it's gonna be a numbers game to keep everyone.

If Tucker can be the player he's projected to be I think George would be the easiest to let go.

Bregman's got 3 years of arbitration after this year. I could see Correa not getting a contract extension with the injury issues.
