Something must have happened for him to just be out with basically a week left in the season. I'm excited for the changes though.

Yeah I don't think I'd be too upset if we had a brand new staff after this season. I can take or leave banister but I think for the most part he's stubborn and not super progressive in terms of analytics and stuff like that. That seems to be the way the MLB is trending
The only thing I'd miss about Bannister is his daughter

I'm from small town east Texas, and saw this quite a bit today on my facebook regarding JD after the news of Banny's release.Old Tom Morris said:

I think it's criminal. Jon Daniels should be the one fired. The fact he has no accountability is absurd.
Their playoff managing has been pretty woeful across Wash and Banny. Wash consistently got pants'd in NL stadiums.Gil Renard said:
Bannister got out managed in key playoff games/series fwiw

Playoff appearances from when Daniels was named GM in Oct 2005.
Texas - 5
Oakland - 5
LAAA - 4
Houston - 4
Only the Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers and Cardinals have more than 5 playoff appearances in that span.
Credit Nolan Ryan with most of that success. Old coat tails Jon enjoyed the ride.

What moves did Nolan make to get credit for that success?TheCurl84 said:_lefraud_ said:TheCurl84 said:
