I get enamored with Trout (and his stats) on almost a weekly basis. He's like the created player on a video game, it's just ridiculous. The guy is talked about yea, but we are watching a top 10 player of all-time, and I want to hear/see him as much as possible. Agree. The crazy thing is that he's not just having his best season yet. He's having arguably the greatest season of all time. His current pace for WAR will surpass Babe's 1923 season. He was unreal last year in 114 games (6.7), yet he's on the verge of passing up his WAR from last year and he's only 73 games in (6.4). He's become like Lebron or Jordan in that he may not win the MVP in a given year, but he's clearly the best baseball player on any field he steps on.

And heck, I think it may be underselling to say he may be a top 10 player all-time. He's got a real shot at top 3 or 5. He's one of those opposing players I'd gladly pay money to watch.

Just curious if the Rangers had won the World Series last year and the Astros were 19 games out of first but someone said they thought Bregman was a better 3rd baseman than Beltre I bet you would poke your head over there and laugh at how ridiculous it was. C'mon now.

I'm just not so insecure with myself and the teams/players I support, as to feel compelled to defend them.

I just don't. Do I enjoy a good banter and things? Sure... but I don't go out seeking such things.

Are there not things on the Astros thread that would warrant a defense by me? 100%. But I don't care enough about their comments about me... or my comments... or teams/players I support.

Just thankful it doesn't involve police, MLB or sexual hazing.

A lot of ranger fans I know say that this is a lost year anyway, so we should leave struggling players in the lineup no matter what.

I disagree with that tho. Gallo needs to go down to the minors more than any other player on the team right now.

The other Odor only played in the Dominican Summer League, AFAIK, and he is much younger than YoMen (3 yrs). YoMen hasn't been in the DoSL since 2012. The other Odor would have been like 14.
