Most times the bullpen arms are just better choices than the starter the third time through the batting order. Plus extra travel days give them more options to use the BP

I guess some of it is "if I pull Verlander now, I can use him more later" ... and they pull them at the first sign of trouble. Doesn't make a ton of sense to me though.

Just snagged three for Saturday's game. Not sure who will be happier - me or my 4-year old son. He was supposed to go to last Friday's game with me, but woke up sick that morning so couldn't go. He was absolutely devastated, so I told him that if the Astros got to the next round I would try to get tickets. He fell asleep before I even turned on the game tonight, but he was cheering for the Yankees so the Astros would get home field. He's gonna be super-pumped tomorrow, which will be awesome.
