Yu is definitely looking sharp. Glad to have him back. The rotation at this point is just plain filthy.

If bannister can do something with the black hole at DH and 1B, quit experimenting with the bullpen, and we get some guys get healthy - Texas Rangers are going to be tough to beat.

What kind of inning or PC limit is Darvish on?

Until that 4 pitch walk, things were cruising along. Having a 3-Spot in the 1st sure helps letting him focus on just pitching.

My thoughts exactly. He plays the game and loves it. And he's not an ass about being good. I feel bad for guys like Bryce Harper and Josh Donaldson that think they need to be jackasses to have fun.

I had a thought earlier today as to Gallo and I think I got the answer.

They needed to have someone who was on the 40.

That limits it to players in the minors and on the DL15.

Here were your options to have up:

They really only had 3 options to fill the bench spot. Nicholas is a Catcher. DeShields is a CF. Then you have Gallo.

Gallo is just getting back from a groin injury. I'm guessing they basically told him he was getting the call-up but not likely to get much action. You can't put him in the OF and likely 1B is out as you don't want him getting hurt stretching for a throw.

The Rangers have 8 pitchers on the 40, who are in the minors. They have 12 pitchers on the big league roster.

I think so. Didn't even hit the guy and I don't think that was an accident. I've never understood why throwing behind a guy was so offensive. Hell, all that is is a warning shot.

Hoying will forever be a guy with a hit in MLB, even if he gets sent down tomorrow.
