After a couple weeks I'll be able to look back at the season as a whole and remember it fondly. Right now it just sucks.

While it's a tough pill to always swallow losing in the NLCS, I can do so this season. No one expected us to win 97 games with five rookies in the lineup for a good majority of the season. We lost to a team that got hot at the right time. The future is damn bright and I am looking forward to next season already. This season; however, was a hell of a lot of fun and there will be many more just like it.

What a damn fun season. I have a feeling the Mets and Cubs are going to get real familiar with each other. Here's to a shorter than normal offseason!

What's everyone's Chrsitmas list so to speak with the offseason?

I am undecided on bringing Fowler back. Thinking maybe short term deal with Span? I'd like one guy in the lineup to be more of a contact guy who isn't a young guy. Also would love to put some $ into the bullpen, however the market is pretty thin. I think I'm leaning towards not throwing 200m at Price, however I wouldn't be crushed if they did.

I'd like to keep Fowler but not at the price he's sure to command on the open market. I wonder if they can afford Price or Zimmerman and also Heyward. I'd also be happy trading either Castro, Baez, or Soler for another starter.

I'm not sure I am against a reunion. I dont really hold anything against the guy. He's been waiting for his shot at free agency and has always been confident it would pay off.

A 2-3 year deal seems like it's worth exploring at the least. I think Bosio might be able to work through some of the mechanical issues. Before last year he was throwing the ball really well.

I don't blame a player for maximizing his value on the market but he specifically wanted out of the organization because he didn't want to waste his time playing for a loser.

Shark signs a 5yr deal with the Giants

I'm completely fine with the two year deal for Lackey. He'll be 37, but he just came off of his best year yet and he doesn't need to be any better than a number three pitcher in our rotation. The two year deal also gives us a lot of flexibility moving forward.

Twitter was reporting deal close for Shelby Miller for Baez last night. Lots of smoke blowing around.

I knew it was inevitable the Cubs would have to part with some of their young studs, but it's definitely hard as a fan after watching them develop all these years and be right on the brink. No reason not to trust what Theo has been doing so far. My only question would be the decision to stick it out with Starlin over a guy like Javy.
