Let the team play you cant just lose every game and then flip the switch the next season in most cases. Just do not add any more veteran pieces to the team. (Like John Wall) and maybe trade Eric gorden before the trade deadline.

Mathews is legit.

At the 8 min mark he got caught by a classic Harden kick out foul on a 3pt. He contested perfectly up top, but ran into hardens outstretched legs. Four minutes later the exact same situation arose and Mathews arced his path around Harden's outstretched legs and contested perfectly.

Give the dude a contract. He is only getting more expensive. Also, I think the 2 way players are limited in the number of games. I want to cheer for this guy for a long time.

It is a hard contrast to my feelings about James Harden.

My 10 year old wanted to go to the game last night, so I got tickets on the baseline, row 5 for cheap. Haven't watched the rockets at all this season until last night. Great time and a fun team to watch, at least last night. Kenyon Martin's dunk at the end of the 3rd quarter was awesome!

Dang. I knew Kenyon green was gonna leave a&m early, but not to join the rockets.

This team has been fun to watch, even before the streak started. There's some realistic hope and evidence on the floor of what they're building towards. Stark contrast to the other 'rebuilding' team in town.

Though it has a lot to do with the fact that we got a slate of pushovers, it is funny how right when calls for Silas maybe not being the right answer for this team got the loudest, they go into this streak.

Ok easy there, it doesn't make "perfect" sense. He's a career 39% shooter with most of that coming from outside the NBA. The fact that a guy who every team in the league passed on has been this efficient game in, game out at such a high volume/minutes is pretty remarkable.

His offensive rating over his first two seasons was actually a little higher than it is now. It was just a matter of finding the right fit, which is not easy to do for anyone, much less a player like him…but given the opportunity, I don't think it's surprising to see a guy put up similar numbers in a larger sample that he did in a smaller sample.

He's playing really well and I doubt he keeps it up for the rest of the season, but it's not surprising that a guy with his past NBA performance who did not just succeed but dominated at a decent college level is having some success.

I'm not saying it was to be expected or that I called it or anything like that. I'm just saying that it makes sense.

You don't need numbers.

His defensive grit, off-balance shooting, and the general resiliency are incredible.

If you are looking for reasons he will fail, you are doing it wrong.
