Who would you play? Capela is out. Harden is very good at guarding bigs.

Harnstein is good let him rack up some fouls.

He's okay in small doses. Who would you pull for him?

Overall our expected value is higher with him on bench and someone else in. Not like they are pounding the ball down low.

Russ to Mclemore.

MDA refuses to play a big as we get pounded on the boards.

I know Capela is our but we have to have somebody taller than PJ on the boards.

Glad we stopped the meltdown in time to not lose. Russ is looking better by the game and hopefully James is returning to form.

Have we changed our strategy on rotations? This is the 2nd game in a row Chandler and Hartenstein cant get on the floor with Capela not playing.

I can't remember the last time I saw Chandler play. Actually just looked it up. He last played on the 18th. I think he's just on the team for veteran presence at this point.

Maybe this is why we are trying to play small. Wonder what we could get.

I've been a big Clint fan since b4 he hit the starting lineup but if that's what it takes to go from 1st/2nd round exit to contender I'm all about it. Work your magic Morey.

It'll be hard to watch him leave. But he's got to be valuable to a lot of teams. Hope it's something great.

clint seems like a really good dude so it will suck to see him go but thats pro sports for you.

Agreed. Absent him being so soft he seems like a legitimately good dude. Hope if we ship him out it's worth it

Capela is talented, but we could definitely find a better fit if the return on him is right.

People on here have stuck up for him and denied this, but his conditioning has always been subpar and he is either injury-prone or not willing to play through the small stuff. When he's on he can be a beast, but his effort has always been inconsistent. He can dominate but also disappears, sometimes in the big moments. He has the hands and feet to be more than a lob recipient, but hasn't developed as much more than that. To be fair, in this offense there isn't much of a need or opportunity for more than an opportunistic put-back/lob guy, so his talent and potential are wasted.

Also look at the 5s on the last few NBA champs:

- An aging 25 min per game Marc Gasol
- Kevon Looney/JaVale McGee rotation
- Zara Pachulia
- Timofey Mozgov
- Andrew Bogut

Obviously those teams had an immense amount of talent elsewhere, but it has been since 2014 since an NBA champ featured a dominant center.

I have defended Capela because I think he has been a good fit at a good price. With that said I trust Morey to make moves that will improve the roster and if he thinks he can turn Clint in to pieces that can help us win now, while Russ and James still can, I am all in.

Apparently we are after Covington, but Minnesota wants two 1sts for him.

He's averaging 12.8 PPG and 5.9 REB. Shooting 34.7% from 3, but he's more known for his defense. Which this team sorely lacks.

I don't think we have any 1st round picks any time soon so that seems like a stretch...

Multi-team trade. We trade Capela for draft picks. Not sure how exactly we could get it done, but Morey does.

The thing that would worry me is that the championship is going through LA, which means you need something to defend a front court of Dwight Howard/AnthonyDavis/LeBron James.

3rd now is Denver with Jokic and Millsap down low.
4th is Utah with Gobert.
6th is Dallas with Kristaps, Luka and WCS.
7th is somehow OKC with Adams and Danilo
8th is somehow Memphis with Jonas V and Jaren Jackson.

Big men in the west are pretty decent right now. And those three Warriors teams had Draymond Green eating up a lot of those PF/C minutes in the playoffs.

Gotta have someone to keep those big guys off the glass, prevent easy putbacks, etc. PJ Tucker can't do it all.
Harry Dunne

Pretty clear we need to get a good big man in return for Capela and not just roll with what we already have...but just because the Lakers or whoever else have a dominant traditional 5 doesn't mean we need to fight fire with fire. Yes Davis will get his (and I'm going to pretend like you didn't mention "DW12"), just like Porzingis did the other night. Doesn't matter as long as we get ours.

Of course we're not going to win a championship with the 6'6" lineup, but rather than try to find someone that can shut down the brow, which is not going to happen, I think we're better off finding someone who will create mismatches at the other end and improve us overall defensively.
