Who exactly do you think is being offered for Capela? More than likely, Capela is going to be the best player in the trade and it will involve picks going to Houston.
Obviously plus picks. Bron's on the down side of his career and Capela is on the upside of his.WES2006AG said:
Lebron?
I think you are probably right, but "Best player" is also relative to the team and system & I suspect Pringles has soured a bit on Capela or this would not be happening.Guitarsoup said:

You don't think Atlanta wants to put Collins at 4 (he's 6'9 235) next to Capela? Collins is putting up 19/10 for the second straight season, so I doubt they are moving him for Capela without getting something else. Stretch 4 next to Capela down low seems like a solid paring.Harry Dunne said:I think you are probably right, but "Best player" is also relative to the team and system & I suspect Pringles has soured a bit on Capela or this would not be happening.Guitarsoup said:

It sounds like the hope is to get a strong wing and a serviceable center in return, ultimately. Most exciting name I've heard thrown out there is John Collins, who is also young & would give us a big man that can stretch the floor and shoot the 3.
I think you are likely going to see a young role player or 2 as well. Maybe Robert Williams and Josh Okogie.mAgnoliAg said:
I just kind of expect more for a center averaging 14, 14, and 2
Especially one with a very team-friendly contract.mAgnoliAg said:

I don't think he really has gotten much of a chance to be honest. Richaun Holmes has been playing fantastic and Bagley, although he has been hurt most of the year, is going to get minutes with his draft status. I think a change of scenery is much needed for him, just not sure how it would would work with that contract.YNWA_AG said:
Hasn't played well this year
Gordie is making about double what Clint is making and I have been hearing that the Rockets want to get out of the luxury tax.Harry Dunne said:
Again I think you're probably right. Draft picks that we can flip + some overpaid schlampe to make the salaries work.
My comment on Collins was more hopeful than actually thinking its going to happen. Gordon Hayward would work salary-wise.
That's true, but he's cheap, he fills a depth need, he keeps you from going over the luxury tax, and the Rockets are more likely to go smaller with RoCo at C, Tucker at PF, and House/McLemore/Gordon at SF.YNWA_AG said:
Robert doesn't even play much for the Celtics lol.
It is starting to smell a lot like it could either be (1) Morey floating Capela out there as bait to see if anyone will bite and/or (2) Pretending like we tried to be active before the trade deadline only to end up shedding salary so we can stay under the luxury taxAG@RICE said:
I dont think we will trade Clint. Not from lack of trying, I just don't think we will find appropriate value in return.

I don't like a straight flip of capela for Covington
